Moab is a touristy adventure town with high-end offroad vehicles crusing around and every third building a tour or rental business. It abuts two national parks: Canyonlands and Arches and also has some of the most famous offroading trails in the country. Canyonlands is less popular than Arches, but equally spectacular, especially for backpacking. We didn't do any backpacking this trip, but maybe next time.
The Delicate Arch in Arches National Park has won the prize of being on Utah's license plate. Even in one of the most beautiful and unique states in the nation, there are few things as striking.
