We've been wanting to visit Lassen National Park for some time, but it hasn't work out until now due to timing of snow melt and wildfires.
I've seen natural steam vents in both Hawaii and Bolivia, but the steam vents here were a whole new level of activity. There were large pools of water bubling non-stop. They were so loud that it sounded like a jet engine.
We also enjoyed the various waterfalls in Shasta-Trinity National Forest and nearby state parks. Barney Falls was so beautiful that it looked like a computer-generated scene from a movie.
