Sitting next to beautiful Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable body of water in the world, Copacabana sports the only public beach in Bolivia. I really enjoyed hiking around the peninsulas surrounding the town. One evening Massey and I were walking along the coast north of town to a restaurant that he had seen on the map. We reached a cliff where the restaurant was supposed to be, but found that we were looking down on it in the water 100 meters below. It was a floating restaurant and it seemed to me that it could only be reached by boat, but Massey found a path down. We had the place to ourselves and we ate a delicious fresh fish dinner as the sun set before walking back to town in the dark as the familiar chill of night in the Bolivian highlands set in.
