Wellington is supposedly the windiest city in the world (Chicago is second), but the weather was quite calm during my short stay. Someone joked to me that the weather there is only that nice eight days a year. As the capital of New Zealand, many companies have their headquarters here even though it's only the third largest city in the country behind Auckland and Christchurch. The skyline, if you can call it that, is quite funny. There are buildings that are built like skyscrapers, but they are unusually short, a bit like hobbit skyscrapers might look.
